About the project

Life and Death Matters were paying significant ongoing licensing costs for a leading CRM and marketing automation platform while only using a relatively small subset of its functionality.

At the same time, several important operational workflows, including webinar project management and attendee tracking, were not supported effectively within the platform and required additional processes and workarounds.

Using AI-assisted development, we designed and built a tailored CRM and workflow platform around the exact requirements of the business, reducing software complexity, introducing custom functionality, and significantly lowering ongoing platform costs.

The challenge

While the platform handled core CRM activity and communications, the team only used a small subset of its features, while still managing several important workflows outside the system entirely.

They also required functionality not supported effectively within their existing setup, including mini webinar project management, registration form generation, and attendee tracking.

At the same time, ongoing licensing costs continued to increase.
The business needed a simpler, more focused platform tailored around how the team actually operates, without the overhead of paying for unnecessary functionality.

The solution

We designed and developed a tailored CRM and workflow platform using AI-assisted development to accelerate prototyping and early-stage development.

Working closely with the Life and Death Matters, we mapped the exact functionality and workflows required before creating a connected platform combining CRM functionality, workflow management, HTML email communications, webinar project tracking, form generation, and attendee capture.

Our AI-assisted approach significantly accelerated delivery, allowing the platform to be developed for a similar cost to a single year of their previous software licensing.

From there, our engineering team refined, validated, secured, and productionised the platform through structured testing, deployment workflows, and infrastructure configuration.

The platform is now maintained and supported at a fraction of the previous annual licensing costs, while continuing to evolve through ongoing development and refinement.
