THE “DUAL USE GOODS” GAME
Reed Business Information, one of the world’s leading information providers, approached us to create a concept and build a game for their Accuity brand. In the game players drag and drop imported ‘goods’ to choose whether they have dual uses or not. Players receive a score out of 10 which they can share on social media.
MAKING A DULL MESSAGE ENGAGING
RBI’s brief was to find a way to better educate clients as to which goods are dual use and which are not (dual use goods, or ‘DUGs’, need to be treated differently when exported).
Blueflamingo recommended that a bespoke game could be a fun and engaging way to meet their brief. We developed a prototype which RBI loved. Next we built the game in Python and Django CMS which we felt was the most appropriate framework. It was launched at the high profile Sibos event in Geneva.
The game needs to be ultra responsive – it looks perfect on mobile devices and large screens at conferences, as well as everything in between!
