Web Design in Vancouver
Custom Websites for Vancouver and Lower Mainland Businesses

Web Design in Vancouver
We can design and build a custom website for your growing business, in Vancouver or anywhere in the Lower Mainland. Each site is planned, designed and coded by our in-house team so it loads quickly, works for every visitor and turns visits into inquiries. We work with Vancouver clients over video from our Toronto office.
Web design for Vancouver’s business mix
Vancouver has one of the most varied business communities in the country: technology and software, film and visual effects, tourism and hospitality, trade around Canada’s largest port, and a deep bench of professional services firms downtown.
A software company selling to buyers across North America, a Gastown restaurant group and a Burnaby distributor each want something different from a website. They share a visitor on a phone who needs to know, within a few seconds, whether you can help. We plan each site around that visitor before anything is designed.
Websites we can make for Vancouver companies
- Custom marketing websites for professional services, technology and B2B companies.
- E-commerce stores on WooCommerce or Shopify, designed around how your customers buy.
- Web applications and portals for clients, members and partners, built by our development team.
- Redesigns that keep the search rankings you have already earned, with redirects mapped page by page.
Getting found in Vancouver search results
Vancouver is a crowded market online. Whether someone is looking for a physiotherapist in Kitsilano or a freight forwarder near the port, Google weighs how fast your pages load, how clearly they are organized and how closely they match the search.
We build that groundwork into every site: page titles and descriptions written for the searches people actually make, clean headings, structured data, and a page for each part of the Lower Mainland you serve. When you want to grow beyond launch, our search engine optimization (SEO) service works on content, local listings and links month by month, and reports on the searches that bring in work.
From downtown to the Fraser Valley
Our team can work with organizations in Downtown Vancouver, Gastown, Yaletown, Mount Pleasant and Kitsilano, and across Burnaby, Richmond, North Vancouver, Surrey and the wider Lower Mainland. If you serve the North Shore and Surrey as well as the city, we plan the site so each area has a page worth finding.
Why us
Why talk to us about a Vancouver website
The same people, start to finish
The designers and developers who run your first workshop also design, code and test the site. When you have a question in month three, it goes to someone who knows the build.
Shaped by how your customers decide
Layouts come from your content and the way your customers make decisions, so a SaaS company and a hospitality group end up with very different sites.
Speed and accessibility from the start
We write lean code, size images properly and test with a keyboard and a screen reader before launch. Fast, accessible pages are also easier for Google to rank.
Workshops that fit your calendar
Workshops and design reviews run on video calls, so your team can join from the office, from home or between site visits. When a project needs a key workshop in person, we can fly out to Vancouver for it.
Hosting and upkeep after launch
We host and maintain the sites we build, so updates, backups and fixes stay with the people who know your code. How our care plans work.
How we work
Our web design process
Five stages, the same on every project. You see and approve the plan, the layout and the design before anything is built, so nothing comes as a surprise.
01
Workshop
We start with a workshop, in person or over video, with the people who have a stake in the site. We look at what your current site does well and badly, who you need to reach, what they search for, what your competitors do, and the content the new site needs. You leave with a clear brief and a page plan.
02
Wireframes and prototype
Next we wireframe the key pages: plain layouts that settle what goes where before anyone thinks about colours. Once you’ve approved them, we design a clickable prototype in Figma, so you can try the site on a laptop or phone before a line of code is written.
03
Build
Our developers build the site in-house, most often on WordPress, or on Django and Python where the site is closer to an application. Every page is built to load quickly, work with a keyboard and screen reader, and give Google a clean structure to read.
04
Testing
We test as we go and again before launch: across browsers and devices, for speed and accessibility, and against the forms and integrations your business relies on. Your team then checks the site too, so the people who will use it every day sign it off.
05
Launch and beyond
We launch with redirects from your old addresses, analytics in place and a final round of checks. After that, the same team can host, maintain and improve the site on one of our care plans, so you always know who to call.

FAQs
Web design in Vancouver: your questions
Can our project run entirely over video?
Yes. Our team is in Toronto, so for Vancouver clients the workshops, design reviews and launch planning happen over video. If an in-person workshop would help at a key stage, we can travel to Vancouver for it. Blue Flamingo has a business address in the city, but no staff or meeting rooms there.
Do you work with businesses outside Vancouver?
Yes. We can take on projects across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, from the North Shore to Langley, and for organizations anywhere else in Canada.
What does website design in Vancouver cost?
It depends on the number of pages, the features and any integrations, so we price each project after a discovery call. Before work starts you get a fixed, itemized quote in Canadian dollars, and we’re glad to talk about budget ranges on that first call.
How long until a new Vancouver site goes live?
Expect three to six months from the first workshop to launch for most sites. A smaller site can move faster, while e-commerce and integrations add time. We set the dates with you at the start.
Do you use themes or design from scratch?
Every design starts from your brand, content and customers, and nothing comes from a theme marketplace. Without a theme’s unused code, pages stay lighter and load faster.
Will a new website improve our Google rankings?
We build the technical groundwork into every site: quick pages, a logical structure, headings, metadata, structured data, and redirects from old URLs so existing rankings carry over. Rankings also depend on content and competition, so for ongoing work we offer SEO and pay per click campaigns.
Who runs the site once it launches?
We do, if you’d like. Our hosting and care plans include managed hosting, updates, backups, security monitoring and developer support through a ticketing system, from the team that built the site.
Which technology do you use?
Mostly WordPress, designed and coded in-house. Online stores run on WooCommerce or Shopify, and when a project needs more than a website we build custom web applications.
