Web Design in Edmonton
Custom Websites for Edmonton and the Capital Region

Web Design in Edmonton
Custom websites for growing businesses in Edmonton and northern Alberta, designed and built by our in-house team. Projects for Edmonton clients run over video with our Canadian team, which is based in Toronto.
Edmonton web design, sector by sector
Edmonton is Alberta’s capital and a hub for energy, construction, health care, education and research, with a strong base of professional services firms and a growing technology scene around the University of Alberta.
A general contractor bidding on public projects, a clinic in Old Strathcona and a research spin-off near the university each need a different website. Any of them loses work when the site is slow on a phone or hides the contact details. We plan the pages around the decisions your customers make before they call.
Edmonton websites we can build
- Corporate and B2B websites for construction, engineering, industrial and professional services firms.
- Websites for service businesses with booking, quotes and inquiries tracked properly.
- Online shops on WooCommerce or Shopify, for trade counters and retail.
- Web applications and portals, built by our development team.
Getting found by Edmonton buyers
Business-to-business searches in Edmonton tend to be specific: a type of fabrication, a certification, a service area like Nisku or Acheson. Pages that answer those searches directly, with project examples and clear service descriptions, are the ones that rank and get the call.
We structure each site so every service and region you cover has its own page, with titles, headings and structured data written for the words buyers use. Our SEO service carries that on after launch with new content, local listings and monthly reporting.
Edmonton and the capital region
The same approach suits organizations in Downtown Edmonton, Old Strathcona and the industrial areas, as well as St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove, Leduc and Fort Saskatchewan.
Why us
Why an Edmonton business might choose Blue Flamingo
In-house from start to finish
Your site is planned, designed, coded and tested by our own staff. The developer who fixes something after launch comes from the team that built it.
Shaped by your work
We design around the jobs you do and the people who hire you, with your real projects and photography at the centre of the site.
Fast where your customers are
Lean code and properly sized images keep pages quick on a phone with a weak signal. Every site follows WCAG accessibility guidelines and has its search basics in place.
Video first, travel when it counts
An Edmonton project would run mostly over video calls. When a workshop works better in person, our team can travel from Toronto to run it with you.
Hosting and care
Once the site is live, we can host it, update it and keep improving it. See how our care plans work.
How we work
Our web design process
Five stages, the same on every project. You see and approve the plan, the layout and the design before anything is built, so nothing comes as a surprise.
01
Workshop
We start with a workshop, in person or over video, with the people who have a stake in the site. We look at what your current site does well and badly, who you need to reach, what they search for, what your competitors do, and the content the new site needs. You leave with a clear brief and a page plan.
02
Wireframes and prototype
Next we wireframe the key pages: plain layouts that settle what goes where before anyone thinks about colours. Once you’ve approved them, we design a clickable prototype in Figma, so you can try the site on a laptop or phone before a line of code is written.
03
Build
Our developers build the site in-house, most often on WordPress, or on Django and Python where the site is closer to an application. Every page is built to load quickly, work with a keyboard and screen reader, and give Google a clean structure to read.
04
Testing
We test as we go and again before launch: across browsers and devices, for speed and accessibility, and against the forms and integrations your business relies on. Your team then checks the site too, so the people who will use it every day sign it off.
05
Launch and beyond
We launch with redirects from your old addresses, analytics in place and a final round of checks. After that, the same team can host, maintain and improve the site on one of our care plans, so you always know who to call.

FAQs
Web design in Edmonton: your questions
Where is your nearest office to Edmonton?
Our Canadian office is in Toronto. With nothing closer to Edmonton, most of the work happens over video calls, and our team can travel out for a key workshop when the project needs it.
Do you work with construction and industrial companies?
We can. A site for a construction or industrial firm has to explain technical services and projects clearly, show the work properly and help with recruiting as well as winning new business, so that is what we would plan around.
What does web design in Edmonton cost?
Cost depends on what the site has to do: the pages, any e-commerce or quoting tools, and the systems it connects to. After an initial call you get a fixed, itemized quote in Canadian dollars. We’re happy to discuss budget ranges on that call.
How long does it take to build a website?
From the first workshop to launch, most projects take three to six months. A small site can be done sooner, and an online store or a site tied into other systems takes longer. You’ll know the timeline before we start.
Will our site be built on a bought theme?
No. Each site is designed for your business and its customers. Leaving out a theme’s unused code also keeps pages quick to load.
Will the new website rank on Google?
No one can promise rankings. What we do is build every site so Google can crawl and understand it: fast pages, clear structure, headings, metadata, structured data and redirects from your old URLs. To compete for more Edmonton searches over time, we offer SEO and pay per click campaigns.
Can you host and maintain our site?
Yes. Our hosting and care plans include managed hosting, backups, security monitoring, regular updates and ticketed support from the developers who built your site.
Which platforms do you use?
WordPress for most sites, designed and coded in-house. WooCommerce or Shopify for online stores, and custom web applications where a website alone won’t do the job.
